My late father worked for the railroad for 40+ years. He even was stationed on one in Iran in WWII. He wasn't the engineer, I think maybe conductor. He didn't have a very high opinion of the Iranians.

My dad,uncles, cousins, and grandfather worked for the Bangor and Aroostook railroad in Northern Maine- I work occasionally for the Inland Lakes Scenic Railroad in central Florida- I love it-From trackwork to Conductor,to equipment repair- I enjoy it when I can get to do it-:cheers:

My grandfather was also a lifer RR man. Dad work for Atlantic Coast Line which later became Louisville & Nashville.

Terbo will I am sure,I do remember Petticoat Junction...the trains I recall in Africa and Eastern Europe were mostly drawn with steam power, beautiful,noisy and smokey...ladies of the line!! :cheers:

I am currently building a 'G- scale water tank/tower 4 my garden railroad, and will be complete with 4 scale 'Petticoats', and I can't wait to get it done- It's going to be nice, and the water spout will be operational-It is built to the Petticoat Junction style of the watertank that they had on the show- Very Happy
