The good news is

Just a brief update for my OOM family.
3 miles off the coast of Destin FL. Have 4 Cobia in the boat!! Smallest is 41 lbs. Biggest is 91 lbs!! A Whopper of a Cobia!! Water is rough but the fishing is GREAT!
Are we rich yet?? I really wanna spend more time fishing!!!
I am counting on the RV bunny to show up in the morning!! LET'S DO THIS ALREADY!!!

Hey Chevy - send some of the heat up here to Alaska. Mu boat is still in the shed and the halibut are still in hiding in the ocean. Man am I jealous - out fishing, mercy. Good luck, sounds like you have had some already.

Hehe ... remember when I was on Kodiak we had a Filipino cook on the station ... he went out fishing in a little rowboat we kept for fooling around in the bay. He hooked something and the rowboat started to move ... and I lost sight of him around the point ... about 1/2 hour later he came rowing back around ... with a halibut hanging of the stern that was so dang big he couldn't get it into the boat! He got the head up, clubbed it to death and tied it off to the thwarts. It was well over 100 lbs and bigger then he was.

Yum cobia! Had it for dinner the other night. That is the best tasting fish ever! You'll be eating for awhile.... Congrats on the great catch!

We had Halibut on Saturday night, but the freezer is getting low, May, should have fresh by then.
