I then asked if the dinar would be the same price that is on his sight now, to which he replied he didnt know. I then asked him had it RV'd to which said he didnt know and that he was trying to confirm that. This sounds very positive that something is in the wind. No one turns business down unless something is happening.....IMO.

My stockings are sooooo very ready to be filled and at a very high rate.

Banks stopped dealing in dinar years ago, thats turning business down so i wouldnt get to excited.

Yeah, that is what I was going to say. It would make no sense to shut down one company from selling dinars and others to keep selling. This may be an emotional overlay. He heard what he wanted to hear. Who knows at this point.

I've gotta get away from this computer.

Banks are selling and buying IQD right now, Key Bank $1050.90 per million delivered, only some have stopped, for what reason, only the guys that head up the foreign currency divisions know why.

I posted this in another section last night. The only reason I repost it here is to corroborate your claim. It should be noted that this Australian dealer was NOT a bank...their primary business is the sale of Iraqi Dinar. I would agree that something must be up for them to shut down their primary business component.

I read this post on Dinar Recaps and decided it was worth investigating. I went to the web address listed in the post and the sight was down, but when I entered "Dinar Exchange Australia" in a Google search, their site link was right there, so clicked on it.

I decided to use the chat option on the site instead of incurring long distance charges. It is 11:25PM Arizona time, so I knew someone would be working down under due to the time difference. I clicked on the chat and an operator named Sonya quickly came on the line. I captured a transcript of the chat via their screen shot tool, but am having difficulties posting an image with this post. If you want to see it I am happy to email it to you directly or if someone can give me instructions on how to post an image with a post I will do so.

The chat went exactly like this:

Me: Hello, are you folks still selling Dinar?

Sonya: No we are on hold

Me: Oh, can I ask why?

What does this mean? Not sure. My first impulse is to get excited, but I need to qualify the reason why they are "on hold".

[drewzdinar] My buddy was ordering in Australia from a website called www.dinarexchange.com.au. He had a friend order from the site yesterday and then today when he went to order another order the site was down. Right away he thought was the site a scam and they ran with the money.

[drewzdinar] He then called the owner of the site because he had saved their contact information and their response was "that the Iraqi government has asked them to stop selling IQD and to halt all transactions"

therealbutterfly-Thanks for the update, but how were you able to determine that? The chat function is in messaging mode because they are closed for business. It is 9PM Auckland time and LIVE chat is unavailable. It says to leave a message. I also called to no avail.

If the assumption that they have resumed selling Dinar was simply gleaned from reading their web site home page, that is INACCURATE because the rates and web page were the exact same last night when I was on chat with their representative last night.

They are pretty much identical, which leads me to believe they are the same company with multiple locations. The chat I had was on the Australian site.

Just wondering, have their prices always been this high?...25k for 99$, sorry I had never known they would be this high elsewhere.....

P.S. Im aware that dinars can be sold at whatever $$ amount they wish to do so.....still I would think this is too steep...........
