Central Bank: the end of 2012 will see the currency exchange
Central Bank: the end of 2012 will see the currency exchange

Iraq will not use the dinar in the sales of oil citizen - the follow-up
denied the Central Bank of Iraq and there are efforts to use the dinar
in the sales of some of the oil exports of the country, because the
«market speculators will buy the dinar to sell to countries dealing with
the country's oil, and we will enter into a whirlpool of speculation in
the dinar, and we are already to reduce inflation, which has suffered
monetary Ktltna ».
The Vice-Governor of the Bank Mazhar Mohammad
Saleh said that countries that have turned their currencies to the
international currency has a very strong economy, such as the European
Union, China, Japan and the United States.
The Iraq covering
the dinar in hard currency through the credits worth $ 53 billion. and
the project to delete three zeros from the dinar, Saleh said that «the
central bank ended the preparations for the replacement process end of
the year», pointing out that «dinar witnessed the first process of
replacing a successful 2004, when Replace more than six trillion dinars
Bdnanar new and is expected to begin the process of replacement of a
second after the removal of three zeros end of this year, and this will
be decided by the government ».
The size of the Iraqi currency
traded locally about 33 trillion dinars, after he was no more than six
trillion in 2003, by banks, to 70 per cent of the money supply.
Salih stressed that auction the central bank sold $ 40 billion over the
past year, pointing out that «the auction is one of the most important
means of monetary policy shift in which oil revenues to the liquidity of
local insurance requirements of government budgets, as well to the
control of the dinar exchange rate and reducing inflation ».
He
said, «Central will be obliged to issue a block additional cash during
the current year, due to the increased size of the budget, and this
means insurance reserves an additional hard currency, which is normal
with overall economic growth of the country».
He explained that
Central Bank is obliged offering larger quantities of the dollar
through auction the higher government expenditures denominated in
dinars, as 60 per cent of the proceeds of the sale go
expenses-governmental organizations, and the remaining are for the
benefit of the private sector, and expected to increase demand for the
dollar in the current year because of the adoption by the Government
budget is the highest in the history of the country.
The
government decided to cut the budget this year of $ 115 billion to 100
billion, based on the price of a barrel of oil equals $ 85, and a
deficit of $ 14 billion would be covered through internal and external
borrowing from the IMF and World Bank. The volume of trade State of Iraq
in the last year, according to the benefit of $ 46 billion, two-thirds
of the private sector.
It is noteworthy that the Iraqis would
prefer to deal in dollars because of the low value of the dinar, as the
value of the banknote the same category Top 25 thousand dinars
(equivalent to $ 20). to that, the Central Bank that will support the
opening of the Rafidain and Rasheed in the Kurdistan region, stressing
that he had not received any formal request so far on the subject of the
Departments of the two banks.
Salih said (Rn) that »the CBI
supports the opening of branches of the Rafidain and Rasheed in the
Kurdistan region that it will support Autism financial market in
general».
Saleh pointed out that «the banking market is not
adversely affected by administrative boundaries, and the opening of
branches of the Rafidain and Rasheed in the Kurdistan region will
stimulate bank transactions and boost the economy in the country ».
Saleh added by saying that «the central bank waiting to provide
Departments of Rafidain and Rasheed wrote a formal request through the
approval to open branches in the Kurdistan region».
The Iraqi
Ministry of Finance had announced earlier that it is serious in opening
branches of the bank Rafidain and Rasheed in the Kurdistan region,
noting that he will be able to staff in the province pull advances the
property of those branches. and according to statistics released by the
Iraqi Ministry of Finance recently, there are 25 banks waged, and five
state banks in Iraq , and most of those five is the Rafidain banks,
which has 190 branches in all provinces and abroad, except for the
Kurdistan region in addition to the Rasheed Bank, which has 150 branches
in and outside the Kurdistan region of Iraq, except to the bank's real
estate, agricultural and industrial.

Re: Central Bank: the end of 2012 will see the currency exchange
This is exactly the kind of information I am looking for... In so many ways it is reminiscent of the statements made in Kuwait only days before the Kuwait Dinar revalued. This type of information is necessary to keep the speculators and high rollers at bey until an actual exchange rate comes into being.
If you have the software you can see that the Dinar and many other currencies have been fluctuating fiercely over the past few weeks and mores so in the past few days.
Something IS happening but we won't know what it is until it finally happens.

Holy Moly... did you not read the two articles this morning?
One saying that they need to bring equivelency to the dollar/dinar exchange rate to make the budget work
and the other saying they will have the second reading of the budget for 2012 Monday?

Re: Central Bank: the end of 2012 will see the currency exchange
The fact that the statement made "The Iraqis prefer to use USD, because of the low value of the dinar, speaks volume. That's what they don't want. So, Im thinking that with the pulling of the dollar out of the markets, and the removal of the three zeros, they'd have to revalue soon to control inflation. I, IMHO don't see this going to the end of the year. I think that that is a throw off. They'd have to revalue in order to compete. AJ, help!!! where are you?

You clearly see the plan. What is actually happening in parliament is in direct contrast to Saleh's statement. His end-of-year forecast is nothing more than a head-fake to stave of Dinar speculation on a massive scale.
Hold on...

Re: Central Bank: the end of 2012 will see the currency exchange
Personally, I don't think the RV will be delayed until the end of this year. However, December, 2009, 2010 and 2011 passed with me thinking there is no way it can go past the end of the year.
We read and we listen but we have no way of KNOWING the truth. The articles are hard to understand. My question is related to the worn-out currency. The CBI has been diligently pulling in the 000s. What is left on the streets are worn and some shop keepers and such even refuse the worn currency (or so we read).
They are trying to remove the use of the US dollar so they will be in shorter and shorter supply. What do they do, start issuing the 000s again? If they have destroyed what has been brought in, will they print more? That is out of the question. It makes no sense at all that they would issue the lower denominations to cover the shortfall of usable currency based on the artificial rate.
It sure appears the me that push is coming to shove and they will need to do something, something being an RV, fairly quickly so they can get the new currency on the market.
That's my opinion, outta be yours.

I think I just found the answer to my question. I had forgotten that they are now issuing credit cards for transactions. That will reduce the need for physical currency. We refer to these cards as credit cards but I strongly suspect that are debit cards.
Does that now mean that this will enable them to wait longer for the RV?

My calculations show that the RV "could" very well happen in the next 6 to 8 weeks. On the other hand the above portion of the article I posted could also be right. All we can do is watch the markets and see what happens. As the dollar gets stronger in the 84 to 86 pips I believe we will see this RV. AJ

supergirl, hang in there. I always pray for the people that need it now at this moment. I wish it would happen this week like anyone else does, but i would rather know the truth that it is still near, but that we have to wait several more weeks at the most I hope.
If we go by AJ's theory that the dollar has to be at 86 pips (and stable), that isn't that far off. COME RV and ACTIVATE ALREADY!!!

Hoizon, that's just a picture of a dog that looked like mine. I didn't have any digital pictures of him, or my first Malamute, so I got these on-line. They are cool dogs. Loyal is the first thing that comes to mind. I live in Colorado, so they love the weather, especially now. You know, lots of snow.

I, IMHO don't see this going to the end of the year. I think that that is a throw off. They'd have to revalue in order to compete. AJ, help!!! where are you?
That got me also, with the US troops gone the USD should be getting a bit harder to get as their spending went with them.

Does that now mean that this will enable them to wait longer for the RV?
I do think the cards they plan on using are the "smart card" like the ones used in Europe. They have not seemd to go over very well in the US as of yet.

I believe one of the articles I read specifically said they were smart cards, and it sounded like they have already been placed into service. It wasn't clear if everyone was issued one, but the number was pretty large.
