Dollarization phenomenon, my you know what! The CBI is creating it! Period ending, for the sake of making big money on the IQD when they release the lower denominations after RV!

Let’s dollarize them, pulling the large notes out, then buy back the dollar using lower denominations of the IQD after RV. It’s that simple!

Again, if you are holding dinars, including people of Iraq, you are a winner! But if you are a person in Iraq holding dollars you will be a loser!

I do not believe the CBI has pulled enough IQD out of the market in Iraq yet and the other markets are not quite positioned yet, such as the USD being at the right value. The article states the US dollar is only about 40% in the Iraq market. I believe this needs to be 50% or higher for them to break even at 1 to 1 RV when releasing the lower denomination IQD, but if they RV higher that is no matter, especially at the numbers flying around on these boards. 40% will be enough!

Not that they would do it but wouldn't it be a kick in the butt if they decided to just use the US dollar in lieu of their own. At this moment, it appears that most of the currency is US dollars. The peeps in Iraq are accustomed to using the US dollars. They wouldn't have to buy back any of the dinars that we have spent trillions to purchase. They would pocket all of that money and laugh at the infidels.

Panama for one, as well as other countries use the US dollar as their currency. I just got back from the Bahamas. They have their won currency but all I saw was US dollars.

I'm sure there are more than 100 reasons why they can't and won't do that but it was just a thought that ran through my dyslexic brain.

as i told ajanderson this has been the plan all along my contact in the state dept. told me back in feb 2011 that the dollization was the plan to help all iraqis under stand the prosess ..it confused them when shabbs said we will redenominate with lower bills and they were confused about the worthlessness of the dinar hence give them 20 dollars for a 25k note then when shabbs introduces the NEW L/D,S it will be dollar for dinar.
