Cashing out in hawaii
First and foremost good morning to all my fellow dinarians. For those of us waiting to cash out in Hawaii; is there a bank other than pacific rim that is ready for customers ? I talked with them and dinar cashout I needed to be a customer with them prior to June, they only have one branch in Oahu and somewhat understaffed from what I was told. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a blessed day!!!!

It has been mentioned several times here at OOM that they (banks) will surely want to work with you once we have our RV. I would then first speak to First Hawaiian Bank in my opinion, that is what I plan on doing. Have faith

I too am in Hawaii. There is Wells Fargo on Oahu. Has anyone called them? I wonder if they are playing the "we dont know" game too?

I don't know about Wells Fargo, there isn't one that I know of on the Big Island in the Kona area. I tend to agree with you Silvergirl about the "we don't know" response. But someone will want to exchange your dinar once it RV's! I've choosen not to speak to anyone in the banks regarding the IQD, but that's the avenue I've taken at this time.

Re: Cashing out in hawaii
Do any of these banks in Hawaii have a de la rue machine or is one needed to verify dinar? I dont want to be parted from my dinar so it can be sent to the mainland to be verified. I cant see flying much less going through TSA security at the airport carrying the Dinar in my purse! Any thoughts?

I don't know if they have the machines, but you can give them a call and ask. dinarstar's post is right on the money! You won't need to be flying anywhere to cash out, imho.

Re: Cashing out in hawaii
I cannot speak for the banks, there may well be machines out there, but I do not know, also banks can verify,I stand corrected, without the use of the DLR.
Should it be necessary, which I doubt,to fly to mainland USA to cash in,it is perfectly legal to carry currency on your person,as long as it is declared.
This may not be wise from a security point of view, but is also an option.
I do not believe you will have any problems, just my opinion of course, cashing in Hawaii-side.
Once it RV's,there will be ample information on the forum to help with this,at that time,so be sure to keep watching this space. 8)

Re: Cashing out in hawaii
No wells Fargo here in Oahu, wish there was though or even chase sinse they are the top 2 banks I hear about working well with iqd. Us dinarians here in Hawaii should have our own get together for cashout lol. I hope this thing happens soon, things in the army are getting kinda hectic.

Not a problem dinarstar, it's been fun and a privilege to serve but I don't like the direction the army is heading.

This past summer there was some discussion on a bank in Oahu that was dealing in the Iqd. I will try to find the posts, it has been at least 3-5 months ago.
Dinarbanker has been quoted as saying that they will go anywhere for a cash in of over 5 million, so if you and other fellow IQDers get together, it could work.

Pacific rim is where I checked. I opened an account with them but it was after June 2011. They are not taking any new iqd customers after that date; they only have one branch on island and somewhat understaffed from what I was told.

Re: Cashing out in hawaii
I know how you feel, But at least here in Alaska we do have a possible option, Wells Fargo, but we opened a account with Chase on a trip south, just in case.
Maybe after RV, things will change, as you would think with as many foreign visitors you get foreign currencies whould not be a big problem.
