It is the National DO NOT CALL list It will only take a minute of your time.. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked.You cannot call from a different phone number.

I worked in the cellular industry for over 25 years. If I had a dollar for every time that this email went around! It is not true and here is a news article from 2008 stating so. Please do not give this false email any more mileage!!

well...let's put it this way..I was watching the 6:00 local news 2 nights ago (Fox). Fox stated that it was...FACT... that cellphone companies were now selling records for extra cash. Don't know about any fake email, only what I saw and heard myself

I do not know what you saw, but I do know for a fact that the agency that oversees the wireless and wireline industry is the FCC. Here is a link to their site stating that it is fiction and they DO NOT maintain a national do not call list for wireless phones!

Oh then it MUST be true since a real news show said it! NOT....... I saw a new report a few times about a girl who cooked her insides with a tanning bed. Which has been proven over and over to be an urban legend. It was obvious they just took what some schmoe said as fact and did no fact checking of their own. And we have seen that how many times with other things in this investment? Wink

Perhaps they should? I am getting spam in my text box now. Perhaps that is because I ordered pizza with that phone. A good reason to block your number when calling some businesses.

Regardless, I entered my numbers years ago and the other day received my FIRST unsolicited sales call on my cell. I was angry, because I had signed up for Do Not Call years ago. I didn't remember that the list has a "shelf life." Better to be safe than sorry (anytime minutes are EXPENSIVE), and register. Doesn't take long.

If it is real or fake, it only takes about 20 seconds to register your number. Some people have land lines at home and can use this information.

yep, I previously registered all my phones on the "Do Not Call List" and now have very few calls.
