Exemption of a general manager in the interior: disobedience to orders, corruption and displacement of families

Today, Friday, an informed source revealed that the Minister of Interior, Othman Al-Ghanmi, had approved decisions to dismiss the director general of the ministry and to refer others to investigation for disobeying orders and their involvement in corruption.

The source stated to (Iraqi Media News Agency /) that “Al-Ghanmi approved the decisions, including the recommendation to exempt the General Director of Personnel Security (Internal Affairs and Security), the director of his office, his ordinary and private secretary, and a number of his officers close to their positions and transferred them outside the staff of the Personnel Security Directorate to prove their negligence and their involvement in manifestations and forms. Administrative and financial corruption, concealment of terrorism crimes, abuse of power, and their inability to work in the supervisory apparatus due to poor performance of their work, and they are referred to the competent courts to conduct fundamentalist investigation with them.

He added, “This came based on the statements of the complainant (Hussein Yusef Al-Tamimi) and the witnesses and what came to empty the contents of the tablets from the Criminal Evidence Investigation Directorate and what was stated in the investigation process regarding the proof of all the information contained in the letter of the head of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee about their attempt to seize a house Its area of ​​1000 square meters in Karrada and the displacement of the family in which the subordinate lived to the Office of the Sunni Endowment and for their assignment of important departments positions to those against whom criminal restrictions and rulings for murder and theft were proven in return for transferring competencies from the Directorate and for the conclusions and their refusal to come to the investigative committee set up by the Minister against them, despite their notification Fundamentalistically, and for Major General Hassan refraining from answering 24 questions and the committee’s answer to only one question, which is considered a rebellion against the law and the state and disobeying the above ministerial order according to which the committee in question was formed.

She indicated, "The recommendations were presented before the eyes of the Minister of Interior for the purpose of approval and duly approved."
