This thread is an excellent example of the heaven and heck of the internet. People with too much time on their hands seeking the truth....not!!

I am British, different culture, but still, given time, sure that I could be swayed by all manner of conspiracy theories!

I am well aware how biased the media is, and thanks to the ridiculous reality shows that have seeped into our mainstream television along with satellite TV which shows American news channels, I am really not surprised how many Americans have been lead up many a garden path.

The bottom line is, Gaddafi was a nutcase who along with his family has squandered 100's of billions of Libyan dinar on his atrocious quest to maim and kill, and live the life of debauchery and gross indulgence at massive cost to 'his' people, each of whom could today be very comfortable if not for this lunacy.

Of course we are all controlled in some way, but there is a right way of correcting the balance, a good example are the very peaceful and effective corporate greed demonstrations being held globally, but if the attitude is one of conspiracy with more than a little bitterness thrown into the mix, using information gleaned from the internet :shock: then I really do think we are on a downward spiral.

We are all different, thank goodness, but I prefer my standards of research and knowledge over YouTube videos and random wild internet theories.

Have you even seen any protesters in Libya that resemble what happened in Egypt or whats transpiring here in the USA on the corporate owned main stream media channels that you obviously give more credit to than a free form of information such as the Internet?

If Gaddafi had employed good economic sense instead of his crackpot "Arab socialism", Libya would probably be a well-run powerhouse like Qatar and the UAE. Instead, Gaddafi squandered untold billions promoting anti-colonial revolutions, and trying to make himself the chief of black Africa. Simply, he bought support.

Libyans are undoubtedly one of the most peaceful nations who, like many other subservient and vunerable people in the world, many of whom come to these forums I might add, were easily dominated by this dictator.

You are obviously fond of YouTube, please search for his property portfolio, at a conservative estimate he owns/owned over 168 billions worth of property in the UK alone, a legal maze has been created to pinpoint it all, was that for the good of the people? I really don't think so. And his bed of gold was a tad over the top Check out his sons properties also, and the booze and orgies that went on in them.

You may also like to research the enormous financial benefits of giving to good causes.....

Please don't get me wrong, I am a capitalist through and through, but not to the detriment of others or, by the same token, sounding holier than thou! There is, I think you will agree, a happy medium.

Seems like his people/country mem loved him from the above videos. I can only guess what will befall them over there now that the country looks to be run by the NWO power. They may have a hard time switching gears and paying.

All I know is Gaddafi was a much better president than what we have had here in this country for at least a century. We live in a communist country and from what I know I should have moved to Libya. Only problem I see is I don't know the culture or language...so day to day would have been more difficult...but that's all I see. I pray that Gaddafi is still alive and hiding somewhere. Maybe I am wrong, but this country has a lot more problems than it's citizens realize. I'm going to be hiding out somewhere remote once this country gets a grip on how blind they have been...God help us then!
