The Iraqi Ministry of Industry announced that 18,167 industrial projects have stopped working, while 140 factories work in companies out of a total of 227.

Speaking of the reasons for the stop of factories, Al-Safi said, "Most of the factories and factories were damaged and destroyed because of the entry of ISIS terrorist gangs in 2014, and the military operations that took place to liberate the areas occupied by these gangs."

A spokesman for the Ministry of Industry stated, "The Ministry has prepared plans and programs that are considered and targeted to rehabilitate the factories, factories and affiliated companies spread throughout the governorates during the coming years to improve and diversify the local production and develop the production process."
