Iran has maintained its $ 6 billion share of exports to Iraq in recent years, the vice president of the Organization for Trade Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRGC) said Friday.

"Our commercial situation with Iraq is acceptable," Mohammad Reza Mudoudi told a news briefing. "Almost all of Iran's trade relations with Iraq during the years have been almost stable, while this stability comes in unstable conditions plaguing Iraq."

"The instability in Iraq has reduced the share of Turkish exports to Iraq by one-third, but Iran still maintains its share of exports to this country," he said.

"The opportunity for exports to Iraq has doubled after the expulsion of the dossier and the specter of civil war," Mudoudi said. "Although we have maintained a share of $ 6 billion in exports to the Iraqi market, this country has great opportunities to implement structural and urban projects."

He pointed to the prominent role of Iran in the return of calm to Iraq and Syria, and said:

The two countries, Iraq and Syria, are ready to benefit from Iranian exports
