The Parliamentary Services Committee on Tuesday attributed the delay in the completion of the projects in Baghdad to the "deadly routine", pointing out that the stalled projects need funds that do not affect the "austerity of the state."

A member of the committee, Abdul Hussein al-Azerjawi, in an interview with "Economy News", the delay in the completion of projects caused by the deadly Ruten, noting that the Services Committee formed a committee named "Baghdad" to follow up the delay of projects.

He said some of the stalled projects needed small amounts, about six billion, do not affect the "austerity of the state," and expressed regret that "bureaucratic procedures reflect the confusion of the state."

He pointed out that the committee has extended to the representative of the Council of Ministers and Deputy Minister of Planning and Minister of Finance, in the presence of the security of Baghdad and the Governor, to discuss the delay in the completion of projects, and promised to allocate the necessary funds to complete the projects "away from routine, but began to stumble.

He stressed that the committee "its role is to call the concerned parties to audit the completion of projects, but unfortunately every accused party aimed at the ball in the range of other parties and so on."

On projects suspended due to the presence of transgressors, Azerjawi said that the work of the project "Khansaa" for the discharge of heavy water caused by the existence of random homes, noting that work began seven years ago.

He added that the implementing agencies had two solutions before them, either to "change the course of the plantation is expensive or digging tunnel under the transgressors is not possible, which prevented the completion of."


In turn, considered the Committee on Parliamentary Economy, "Austerity is not an argument but a reality."

A member of the committee, Jabbar al-Abbadi, in an interview with "Economy News", "Austerity is not an argument, but a reality and even the significant rise in oil prices did not cover the deficit."

He added that "Resolution No. 59 of the prime minister covered by many of the projects that have reached ratios completed the final stages , " he said, adding that " the previous decision was only includes completed projects by 80 percent either the current resolution includes projects completed less than the percentage mentioned ratio.
