Obama's schedule for Thursday, Sept. 15
WASHINGTON, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- President Obama awards the Medal of Honor Thursday to the first U.S. Marine to be so recognized for actions in Iraq or Afghanistan, the White House said.
The daily agenda indicates Obama will:
-- Meet with Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.
-- Award the Medal of Honor to Cpl. Dakota Meyer, a former active-duty Marine for his actions on Sept. 8, 2009, while serving in Kunar province in Afghanistan.
-- Attend two Democratic National Committee events at private residences in Washington.
