10/31/2011 - FIVE YEARS AGO In DINARLAND

Guru BGG:   I did get two calls today that may turn out to be the most important of this ride.  Remember the last week or so - how I've been telling you that Maliki is playing ball and that it wouldn't be long?   I heard directly from a parliament source - we were right on the money...Erbil, Hcl, Article 140 - etc, etc, all done...One minor issue - soon as it's handled we'll see the RV pretty quick....(like really quick).  it is entirely possible it goes anytime from RIGHT now thru a week or two - but no longer.


Guru Jonnywg:   Well i have the last updates and unfortunately the same results...no change in rate...as discussed earlier this RV can go through any time and i have not given up yet...i will constanly monitor until i come back at 6am cst tomorrow...i have had no negative reports to day so i still expect the best
 
i have just had the call from the bank re the currency screens and there is no significant changes...FOREX HAS NO CHANGE...NORCBI...i know this is not what we want but our sources still say that this is the right time...dinar dealers will get 15 minutes...they were warned sat at noon in next 3 days...that ends tomorrow.

The window is tonight until sunrise. We still have tonight. HAWAII CLOSES at 10 pm tonight. I will have the back screens being read at that time and we have another bank update at 11pm cst.   All of my contacts agree that all is done and we should expect it immediately rather than next week or month

THE DIE IS CAST...guys it appears all is done and posted last night, we have 4 major currency updates:  1.   at 11 cst - the overnight  2.   2pm  cst -  the mid day   3.  4pm cst  -  market shutdown  4.   8 pm  - end of market HAWAII...forex was shut dow for updates from midnight to 7 am cst...i believe the first time in history for that long. [question:  it sounds like what I'm interpreting, is that WE SHOULD see this today SOMETIME?]....agreed

this should have been announced over the past several days...with no apparent reason for the holdup...everything points to the fact it has to be completed by NOVEMBER 1ST...FOREX RATES ARE...NOT UPDATED...AS AT 6:39AM CST...SHOWS YESTERDAY'S RATE...I HAVE JUST SENT STAFF TO THE BANKS TO REVIEW BACK SCREENS...will be there at 7 cst... i am leaving now to meet them ....i will get back in by 730 after we read them


Guru BWM:   I know we keep looking at the updates but it's my opinion that this will occur at a "special" update and not on the "hour" as we keep waiting and hoping... so don't panic and hang on... we will not write this off until there is something that says it is not happening which I know I have not received at this time.

it can happen at ANY time... it doesn't require a regular update...everything has aligned we believe.

run and hide... tomorrow marks the one of the two most dangerous days of the year... the day after halloween and the day after easter...DON'T GO NEAR THE BUS STOPS...kids bouncing all over the place from candy.

I wasn't looking at that date because of anything shabibi said...other factors lead me to believe this week is important even while salaries may play a big part of that...this isn't about a deadline per se... it's more about critical timing to me.


Guru Joey:   Things are not only getting better....but much much clearer....becoming a little more transparent of what is actually going on in Iraq.....when you start finalizing everything its kinda hard to hide the details of it...its great...Erbil, Article 140, must be settled before the troops leave....thats pretty outstanding guys....BEFORE the troops leave...They are working on so many things...rushing to get things done...Time is running out.

Guru Checkmate Dan:  yes we are hearing all good news and its moving forward...did not hear anything that we have not had progress or delayed...stalled etc.  What in the world has taken so long, I don't know. Believe it’s right around the corner. Will be shocked when it finally happens.


Guru Gary:   this is a fluid process and Dr.Todd says it is in the banks hands, IMF and BIS will make sure everyone gets what maximum that they can get – Dr/ Todd says its here and we are in a wait and watch mode...We are still within our timeframe between now and midweek…Heard lots before, but not from the sources we are hearing from now.  It's looking really good, but still being optimistically cuatious.


Guru TNT Tony:   I am real excited and still feel we are in the delivery room and all I hear Shabibi says he IS going to keep his word – NO BAD NEWs no one stopping it – it was some practice runs over the weekend and today is young…still lots of time for things to happen today… feel we will see this TO-DAY…Not only what Shabibi said about salary increase,  but Saturday notifications were sent out telling people when they could look forward to it.

WE ARE REPOSITIONING OUR TROOPS  NOT LEAVING THE REGION.  THE LAST 40K TROOPS ARE MOVING TO KUWAIT AND TURKEY.  THEY ARE MOVING TO THOSE AREAS AND RIGHT NOW REMEMBER A TOP US OFFICIAL IS ON HIS WAY TO IRAQ AS WE SPEAK, SPECULATION IN THE PAPER IS BIDEN OR HILLARY.  I THINK THIS IS GONNA BE A LAST DITCH EFFORT TO STAY.  THEY ARE ALL RIGHT NOW SO CONFUSED AND IT SHOWS.  THIS RIGHT NOW IS A VERY NERVOUS COUNTRY.

 
Guru Phoenix3333:   We have had in our possession something months ago that clearly pointed us to November, but no one really wanted to see it, even though we had it staring us i the face, but, pleased to say November is here.  Things are looking good, really solid, so, when will things change over, soon, that's all I can say.  Looking at November as a very memorable time.


Guru Robusto: ....an article yesterday saying the kurds are hopeful to get HCL, Erbil, and article 140 done in the next few days...and 3 or 4 articles saying before the end of the year...either way its good news for us.


Guru Adam Montana:   I sent an email recently that received a heck of a response - it was my "RV Rate Thesis".  Well... this is a strange situation that I find myself in.  You see, I will always have my own opinions...but I also listen to people who know what they are talking about. And in this particular case, I'm being told by people that I truly respect...that I'm way off base with my prediction of a "ten cent RV".  They think it should be much higher than that.  I am hearing a lot of persuasive talk from some very smart people that makes me think I could be very wrong, and we'll see that very soon.  All we can do at this point is wait, right?  "HERE'S TO ADAM BEING WRONG!!!!"

Guru 8Ball:  With the free trade set up with Korea….. China will be out…… this is more of the problem China will lose total market share and dive into a depression that’s why the major changes occurred this weekend in China and sweeping changes due next week in China.  That’s what I’m getting out of it also is that we may see a cascade of RV’s ….one triggering another…. Sort of like domino’s We have the Forex guy…… Vietnam….. China’s changes….  leading into a G20 meeting Also Iraq is set up for an emergency special parliamentary session of 50 Mp’s leading into the same day


DV Member Bank Story:  Well, here goes nothing... I never thought that I would have a bank story, and to tell the truth, it is not my own. This story belongs to a friend of mine, who also holds IQD, but is not a member of this site. We are both here in Salerno, Afghanistan currently, and his other friend (also a IQD holder) is currently in Bagram. My friend's friend (I guess that makes this a third-party story) called him here today and told him that he got an e-mail from his bank today. This friend banks with 5/3 bank in Henderson County KY. The e-mail stated that they would be closed from October 31st until noon on November 2nd for system updates. I personally have never heard of a bank being closed and doing updates for 3 1/2 days. Maybe this means something, maybe it doesn't. I was just wondering if there is anyone else out there that may bank with 5/3 bank and have heard the same thing, or is this an isolated incident for this particular bank. Thank you.

Yeah, he 'graduated', alright, from 'Porn' school- He knows how to recycle a condom, that's for sure- He learned how to correctly remove it, turn it inside out, and then vigorously shake the 'F' out of it!!
