Iraq's budget for 2017: social spending priority

Economic Adviser in the Prime Minister Saleh said Saturday appearance, the operating budget for 2017, which discussed the recent Council of Ministers, including 68 percent of the spending cap, and 32 percent of the investment budget this year and will begin to spend on services.

Saleh pointed out that the IMF loan to Iraq is to support the budget, and gave priority to head the so-called "social spending", which includes spending on health and education and the affairs of the displaced and social care and the ration card, pointing out other loans will be allocated for projects service-such as water and electricity.

He revealed the appearance of the negotiations conducted by the Iraqi government with the Kurdistan region on its share of the budget next year, noting that the Constitution stipulates that the region's share of the budget up to 17 percent.
