look at it this way,if you are a prefered bank customer then they will offer it to you for leaving money in their bank

Martha...how does one become a preferred customer? would that be if you have had an account with them for a few years or more?

perhaps using a bank that you bank in and leaving a sustantial amt of money in one specific bank. I have been with WF 20 years in trust and business trust

now dont go racin out for your trusts just wait and see what they offer you
like Tony has been saying the banks will be competitive and will want your business. they will be in a few cents of each other. It is some of the perks you need to look at. Each diferent bank that I am in trust in has different vehicles for investing.
due your homework which you should have done already and have your plan in place at this point. It is your money and you control the situation. DONT FORCE yourself on them or they will boot you out the door
Im in one credit union and all I can say they are great BUT dont break their deposit limits. I would be afraid to put over 3 mil in one
protect your money by cdars fdic to 250,000 and other umbrella type policies
I dont have enough crdit unions in my area to do that but not to worry I am in 4 tier one banks that are crying for my business

Probably the best thing that could happen to any of these people would be for them to attempt to negotiate a plan, I bet a lot of them would get a shocking education!
