As we wait for the RV to occur, I thought it may be an idea, for all members, to consider Post RV, investments (of any nature) and to share their reasons, for making such recommendations.

I shall begin by making some "General Comments" and then I would be interested in other members view point, in this regard.

Stocks generally, may be considered "Highly Speculative" in an uncertain economy, but there may be some opportunity by buying "Blue Chip Stocks" on a retraction, or Dip.

Small Cap or, Micro Cap stocks, are often considered "Volatile" at best, with little "Value," however, good money can be made by the careful selection of a stock (s) and taking profits, after the public has purchased on rumor, driving the price up artificially.

Water, is in increased demand with a shortening of supply and the correct purchase of such stocks/Mutual funds, in water, could be considered, as a long term investment.

Coal compared to other natural resources is relatively cheap and widely used for the production of Power. Stock's, Mutual Funds, containing COAL could be considered as a Long Term Investment.

Mutual Funds are ofter associated with stock and generally provides a return of approx 12% per annum, except for recent times, which have often been somewhat dismal.

Emerging Markets Funds, on a Global Basis are often very attractive and should probably be a part of a diversified portfolio. In my opinion IRAQ, will be an excellent opportunity for long term investment.

Forex, is always volatile and you really need to be well educated in Forex, before getting involved. Excelent returns are quite possible if you possess the correct knowledge and can handle the volatility.

While Gold is considered to be a "Safe Haven" in troubled times, it's value has raised to historical height and which may have a dramatic downwards turn & profits may be taken by shorting gold or, buying on a dip. As I expect volatility to remain around the world, once such retraction or, dip is complete, then Gold may once again rise, to even higher, historical prices.

Silver is widely used in the production of and application in many products on a global scale and there is very little (if any) reserve. I expect the price of Silver to rise, quite considerably.

Due to the continued volatility in the Middle East and possible increased tensions with Syria and Iran, OIL could see a dramatic price increase (not withstanding the massive reserve in the USA) unknown, to many people.

Currency, is a somewhat specialized investment and dramatic profits or, losses can be experienced, depending on many world events. Currency can be very volatile and caution should be exercised.

Real Estate, has seen a huge increase in price, (but due to the unfortunate unemployment situation) has since retracted to very attractive buying prices, particularly with respect to foreclosures situation and financial concern around the world. Real Estate could see a further retraction, before buying opportunities and considerable profits again occur.

The purchase of Land (at discounted prices) particularly at future zoned areas for residential or, commercial building, can offer very attractive buying opportunities, particularly purchasing land alongside, of a new highway to be built.

As an alternative option to the purchasing of Real Estate, investing in MORTGAGES or, REIT's, with good dividend payments can be very attractive, but caution should be used, as REIT's can come in many different formats. REIT's can pay an annual yield somewhere, between 6% to 14% annually.

Private Placement Programs. (PPP) (unknown to the majority of investors) provides an excellent opportunity for tremendous returns, but one must use caution, as the investment amount is usually high, with a lot of potential fraud. I would never recommend a PPP where an investor, has to move funds, especially, into an Attorneys Escrow account.

High Yield Investment Funds (HYIP) purchased through the internet, can be purchased for as little as $10.00 upwards of $50,000 and tremendous returns can be achieved. Extreme Caution, should however be used, as many of these internet based HYIP's can quickly disappear, with your hard earned money. Do extensive D/D and only invest in such HYIP's, with a solid track record and personal reviews by many investors. Once profits have been realised, take the profits, leaving the reminder to keep adding further ROI. By taking such profits, you will at least break even.

I have no opinion on T.Bills, Bonds and GIC's, as to the best of my belief, returns have recently been very poor, leaving a lot to be desired.

Ok, folk's, these are some "General Ideas and Comments"

My comments are just my personal beliefs and may not be accurate, so such information should not be used for the purchase or, liquidation of any investment. If I have not mentioned certain strategies, it's because I have "No Opinion" in such strategy.

I would be interested in the comments of other members, as to their investment beliefs (along with their reasons) for making such recommendations and i'm confident, that such comments will be appreciated, by other members.

I look forward to reading such comments.

Thanks

Hello happywelshguy,

Thank goodness for positive post... Thanks... After reading so many negative comments from some very ill-mannerd people, it's a pleasure to read some prospective ways to safely put money to work...

I happen to appreciate your post and thus would like to say that many of the investment vehicles you have mentioned are wonderful, but many do carry some level of risk.

While many people say they are willing to take risks to get more money, when push comes to shove most investors can't even imagine one percent loss, much less any part of their principal being depleted. All you have to do is review the various comments on these "dinar" sites and it's fairly easy to see that the majority of people never saw the purchase of dinar as very speculative investment. I would venture to say that many of the people who bought dinars were in a panick and looked to the purchase of the dinar as an "almost" a sure thing that would pay off quickly...

I happen to be a professor of business and education, and also am a licensed financial services specialist. The reason I state this upfront is legitimitize the following statements:

If a person is blessed with hundreds of thousands of dollars or even millions, the very best thing to do is first find a reputable CPA, a licensed insurance agent, as well as a registered agent who can sell mutuals and stocks. The last two could be the same person. Many financial services specialists are fully qualified to give exceptional advice on both life insurance, and other investments. The CPA is critical to protect the principal and legally manage the tax liablility.

Having said this, I would recommend that people truly evaluate the amount of insurance they need. It has been my expereince that 80% of Americans are significantly under insured, leaving their families with barely enough to pay for final expenses... Many can realize with proper planning that permanent insurance is one of the very best values giving the owner both cash value and life protection for his/her family. The cash value is not sexy in comparison to other more inventive investment vehicles, but it is in most cases guaranteed.

The other safe investment is the annuity. Again, not very sexy, but it sure feels great when it matures and is taken out in monthly installments. Again, this may not be for high rollers, but it is a safe investment vehicle...

If a person on the other hand is willing to "risk" some money, then I would advocate some of the investment strategies you listed. My only caution to this strategy is to make sure the person giving the advice is fully licensed and working for a reputable firm that has documented history.

Thanks and God Bless you.
