Abadi whines that we are moving too slow in training the Army
Cairo: Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has criticised the "slowness" of the United States-led international coalition against Islamic State jihadists in providing military support to his army.
IS militants last year took control of large swaths of territory in Iraq and Syria, and a US-led international coalition is conducting air raids against IS positions in both countries and is providing military support to Iraqi forces.
"The international coalition is very slow in its support and training of the army" in Iraq, Mr Abadi said during an official visit to Cairo.
"This support is very slow but in the last two weeks there has been an acceleration," he said, however, calling for a "further acceleration" in the assistance provided to the Iraqi army.
Mr Abadi said he discussed with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi Iraqi "proposals" for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Syria.
He said the proposals "fill the void" that would appear in areas taken back from IS militants, ensuing "a joint administration between the government and the opposition during a period of transition".
The objective was to prevent the emergence of "new terrorist groups" in areas freed from the IS yoke, Mr Abadi said.

Now that's ballsy.
I am actually so disgusted with his remarks that I am just going to shut my trap.

Since I was not there I could be wrong, but I thought the US had a;ready trained their army while we were there. Did they forget their training?

Re: Abadi whines that we are moving too slow in training the Army
Yeah, we spent stupid billions of dollars in training and equipment ending 3 years ago and in less than 2.5 years they managed to forget their training, neglect to show up, or somehow let themselves get so corrupt that they just hightailed it when a ISIS technical was spotted miles away.
Disgusting.
And now we are going to try to recreate the horse only to find out that unless WE do the actual fighting, that ISIS is going to remain in control in the places that it has taken. Tikrit, Ramadi, Mosul. Yep, it will be the blood of our troops paying the price to reclaim Iraqi territory for them.
