This perineum has really been getting on my nerves, and while I normally live and let live, I wish horrible afflictions upon 'him.'

Gee, I wonder just who will impose the "sanctions" on the US and how they would enforce them.  I guess this confirms that it is the US that tells Iraq when to RV.

I think "R.V./GCR"'s unfamiliarity with typographic and orthographic conventions has made him unable to express himself clearly. I think what he means is better written:

"T I M B E R R R R R R!!!!"

I think he's referring to the traditional lumberjack call. This tree is about to fall!

Except that it isn't of course.

Living in the Pacific Northwest, I am bred and genetically predispositioned to felling trees.  And have done so on a number of occasions for various reasons.

Not once have I yelled timber.

There was this one time where the tree went in the opposite direction and ended up hitting the house, crushing the deck, and causing a fair amount of damage.  I think I might have said something like 'oh crap.'

You'll be telling me next that lumberjacks don't do those dances on floating logs like in the Berocca ads. (Er...that's an ad we see in the UK, don't know if they use it over your side.)

Cascadian, you are not by any chance related to 'TIM the TOOL MAN, are you? That guy would frig up a hard rubber ball.....

Turkey Lurkey - the only floating logs we have around here are the log rafts that are built in Everett and towed wherever by tugs.  All I have seen is harbor seals sunning themselves on the logs..   They may dance on them elsewhere but here... no

terbo - No, I don't think I am related to Tim.  But I did grow up close to where Richard Karn, his sidekick grew up.   


And I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night.

I like WHOOPOW. I added it to my vocabulary, and hand wrote it into my dictionary.

The "dancing" on the logs stem back to the days of the river drives, when lumberjacks would have to scamper around on the logs to keep them from jamming in the river.

Makes sense.....  Not much log dancing on the Snohomish River.   And actually the question of where the logs come from is one I never considered.  They are there so they had to come from somewhere.
