CoMSec Calls State Institutions To Implement Financial Requirements On Local Currency

The CoMSec called the Supreme Justice Council, the ministries and departments not associated with the Ministry and the provincial councils not to enter in any financial obligations in foreign currency amounts paid in Iraq and that all commitments are performed exclusively in Iraqi dinars.
The Legal department at the CoMSec clarified that the government also included a call to install necessary costs in foreign currency that should be mentioned in its counterparts to local currency (Iraqi dinar) according to the prevailing exchange rates.
The call was based on the remarks of the Iraqi Central Bank/ General Directorate for private investments in this regard the fact that the national currency is the original in economic dealings in Iraq, similar to the countries of the world, as well as to deal in foreign currency, calls for the provision of foreign currency contracts signed in Iraq.
