Do you have any info on that? I have looked for years for any verification of an actual RV in Kuwait but from what the market history shows, there was no change. It was just a change in the street value. If you have anything showing me otherwise, I would really appreciate seeing it. Thanks!

Many of those who made money on the Kuwait Dinar were much like myself military at the time. When you would buy from a local market with American cash you got Dinar in return. They (Kuwaitis) wanted the US dollar more than they did their own at the time. I know many of soldiers that came home with quit a bit of Kuwait Dinar. None of us ever put a thought into the fact that it would RV. You just brought home a small souvenir (Dinar) of Kuwait, similar to any other country a military person might visit. When I heard sometime later that the Kuwait Dinar was worth something I had to rummage through packed boxes to find the peanut can I had put the money in. I had kept the money from foreign countries I visited during my military tours to show my children all the places I had been.

Now, this isn't really proof, but the man who told us about the Iraqi dinar has a friend who purchased Kuwait dinar in the 90's. Our friend, Jim (real name) knew about the Kuwati dinar, but did not believe and just blew it of, thinking it was a scam. His friend did make millions and then opened several car washes all over the city. He still owns them today. He is related to someone who lives in Kuwait. Jim (who is now 65 years old) is still kicking himself because he knew, but did not believe. Thought it was a scam.

Yes, Jim has Iraqi dinar today, but this time, he says, this whole exchange/RV/RI process is much different. The internet wasn't so big in 1991, now it is a monster. This was not expected. During the Kuwait RV, it was mostly word of mouth to a few. No one thought this would become as large as it has. Thank you, God!
