Meeting was a positive step!

I like this article better. It does not dub the symbolic "National Meeting" as successful, but does acknowledge the fact that it is a positive step. The article also indicates the reason for all of the recent violence along with what needs to happen in order to reduce the violence. When Maliki goes, so does 70% to 80% of the problem.

Rubaye describes symbolic meeting sponsored by Hakim as positive step

Baghdad (AIN) -The former National Advisor, Muafaq al-Rubaye described the last meeting of the political leaders at Ammar al-Hakijm’s office as good step towards resolving the political problems, stressing “This meeting will be followed by other steps to launch national reconciliation.”

Rubaye told All Iraq News Agency (AIN) “The political disputes are behind the violence in Iraq, so its elimination cannot be achieved, but through founding real national reconciliation among the political sides.”

He added “We are going on a serious war against al-Qaeda therefore we need to develop the intelligence efforts to combat the terrorism before witnessing further security deterioration.
