Anbar Operations commander gives 24-hour ultimatum

ANBAR/ Aswat al-Iraq: Anbar Operations Commander gave a 24-hour ultimatum to hand over the killers of the five Iraqi soldiers.

In a press statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, Staff General Mardhi al-Mahalawi added that the security forces will impose a general curfew in the province from 9 p.m. today till 4 a.m. tomorrow, Sunday.

On the other hand, Chairman of pro-government Sahwa forces gave a 24-hour ultimatum to hand over the killers of the Iraqi soldiers near the demonstration square.

Wisam al-Hardan, in breaking news by semi-official Iraqiya TV, gave the ultimatum, "otherwise they will not stay folded-handed.

Iraqi land forces denounced the attack against the unarmed soldiers near the demonstration square by unknown gunmen.

No other details were given.
Ramadi, center of the province, lies 110 km west of the capital, Baghdad.
