Baghdad (NINA) - Speaker of Parliament Osama Al Nujeifi congratulated the Christians on the Easter Holiday.

A statement issued by Nujeifi’s office quoted him as saying, in his message "I am pleased to express sincere congratulations to the Christians of Iraq and the rest of the world, on the occasion of Easter Holiday, wishing them all the best happiness and well-being."

he added "the Christians who have contributed over thousands of years substantial portion of the civilization and building of Mesopotamia have demonstrated their devotion to their country and dedication to the good and happiness of it.
