FACT: My Wells Fargo Banks has a sign on the door stating that Wells Fargo Banks will be open on Washington's Birthday (sic) AKA President's Day February 20, 2012. :shock:

OK then! Just this minute spoke to my bank manager who said; WF is open on Monday and he IS aware that WF is probably the only major that is. (I am in So Cal) He did say that he did not know why but, the FDIC does NOT recognize Monday as a work day and, that ALL transactions will be considered as Tuesday for transaction date. No Wells Fargo banks here, but the banks we have accounts in are all closed Monday.

Same at my Chase branch here in Dallas/Ft. Worth area...the Personal Banker I asked about their 'Open Monday" sign was not happy they would be open.

I asked her why they were open on a Federal Holiday, but she didn't know...and was upset she would have to pay for Child Care !

The 3 days for banks is true, and Saturday DOES count. When I worked IT for a local bank we were asked if we wanted Saturday or Monday off for Christmas (Sunday 2005), but we couldn't have both because of the 3-Days Law.

Not so sure about the MARKETING aspect of a Bank paying Uber-Time to employess on a Federal Holiday !

Got a call last night and a IQD buddy from Pudget Sound area says his Chase is open on Monday, he asked why, they said don't know, Checked today at both KeyBank and Wells Fargo, sign on door says open on Monday,

Banks are like walmart now.... the more they are open, the more they make... i think it is a dollar thing... not a dinar thing.

Haven't had a bank acct. in decades (believe in credit unions much more), but recently checked w/ Wells Fargo about possibility of opening an acct. there in prep for RV cash-in, although I did not mention that, only that I anticipated an investment to pay off; once a month I make a deposit there for an investor & was there Thurs. & asked the teller a ?? about the minimum deposit to open a new acct. ($100) did I want to open one then? No time, maybe another day; he told me they would be open on Monday 20th. I asked why they'd be open on the holiday (credit union closed); he had no definitive answer, but expressed the hope they'd be busier than they were "today". Later occurred to me that I've never seen a bank open on a typical "bank holiday". hmmmm....

Dont think the banks will be open just to take care of us Dinarians. There are other countries with their banks open this Monday who will do business with out banks, Im sure. Im still 1% hopefull that theyre open for "us" but doubt it.

I would be there at normal opening hours and when they don't show, complain on Tuesday to the manager that you were told you could deposit your million dollar investment dividend. But, since they weren't open, you will take your business elsewhere. See if the guy gets fired.

I agree with dandee..this is just marketing.. I doubt if in Hickville,N.C. my bank would be open just for Dinar folk mainly to show up.....

Exactly! We shouldn't think of every move our Gov't or Iraq's and even banks make is directly related to holders of the IQD. Sometimes I think of Dinarians are like people who always reply to Publisher Clearing House letters/emails.
