Seems to me I read this global scenario in the last pages of the Bible... its about this time that a strange man appears and offers a cure for the worlds economic troubles... and BTW he IS the Anti-Christ or at least he proves himself to be that in a short time.
Now if the Bible is correct we can reasonably expect the worlds ills to be cured almost over night, and everything will be fine for about 3 1/2 years and then the S**t hits the fan and lookout below!
Am I imagining this or is it actually unfolding the way it was predicted??? Hmmmm

Well thats just my opinion.
