Before you complain

Before
you complain
+++++++++++++++++++
Whenever you complain about something negative in your world,
you reinforce your connection with that negativity. Your
complaint can actually focus your energy toward perpetuating
and empowering whatever you're complaining about.
A much better strategy is to come up with a positive
alternative, and then to act on it. Instead of merely
reinforcing what is wrong, you have an opportunity to change
the situation for the better.
Complaints, because of their negative nature, are usually
met with some degree of defensiveness. Positive
alternatives, on the other hand, will naturally be met with
cooperation and appreciation.
The next time you have the urge to complain, stop and ask
yourself what it is you really want. Do you simply want to
complain or do you want to do something that will improve
the situation?
Somewhere within each complaint is a genuine desire to
improve the situation, but the complaint itself is never
enough to do that. So skip beyond the complaint and use your
efforts and resources to truly make a positive difference.
Make the choice not to aggravate a bad situation with your
complaints. Choose instead to transform it with your
positive thoughts, ideas and actions.

I don't really follow how someone pointing out info that's wrong time after time is at fault. But I'll give it a try. The next time one of the repeat offenders of providing bad info posts more bad info I'll reply....That was a very good line of misinfo that you came up with. I didn't think that you could top your previous lines. But, by golly, you did it.

What's really sad is when grumblers/complainers can't see the effect of their attitudes when it is so beautifully stated as in Peter's observation. All I can say is, thank you, Peter, for putting it so eloquently. I'll tell you what I'm extremely happy about. I'm thrilled that I don't see everything through such mud-covered glasses! I think it's toxic to live with so much qvetching!

LOVE IT LOL OMG! As all of you who have known me, I have never had any problem with questioning intel or gurus. I see it as a sign of intelligence to question. Remember what my MOM has said... and yours too probably...When I was a kid in school and I would go home and tell her rumours I had heard about different students....she would say...Believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see. So, I am big on doing my own digging into what is true.
We as mods just ask that you all make our jobs easier by how you word your calling out and questioning. I LOVE YOUR NEW APPROACH! Still laughing!
Can't wait to see it in action. You will probably make me pee my pants laughing because I have a feeling you are a very witty guy.

remember and in line with pete's post what we focus on expands. so if we focus on the grumble, grumble its going to reinforce it and we create more of it. change the focus to what it is you'd like to create.

I dont think pointing out obvious misinformation is negitive, but because my alter-ego is also bipolar we swing through the day making plans cashing out to being happy that we bought 3 differant denom's so when we wall paper the bathroom with them it will really tie in the new towels with the shower curtain. But every night before I go to sleep I always read the latest from jonny, bella or fill in the blank from the list. That makes those few sweet minutes from prayer to la-la land the best time of my day. The time where there's no rules, skies the limit to making my families life better. Then I wake up, and just before jumping in the shower, try to figure if I will start with the 25k notes on one wall, then the 10k on the other, or will I do a kind of random pattern thru out.Then as the day goes on we slowly get ramped back up again.Never have I spent so little to get so much entertainment!

Inspired by Splovengates "Be ready between sunday and monday night, or maybe tuesday or wednesday, could also be thursday but definitely by friday.... probably next week, monday or late tuesday night, wednesday morning to hear the rv and should be cashing in on the following tuesday the 1st part of january or february. Sooner more than later. But no later than the beginning of 2013. Certainly not before then. Until then, let's enjoy the ride!

You are right. Instead of pointing out that a guru has once again created a story from thin air from now on I will just thank him or her for the extra large crock of pungent fertilizer that he or she has given us. And since I am being positive about being given this wonderful fertilizer I will also try and figure out how to move it to my yard as it really does need it.
