Abused opening lines

I just wanted to put together a list of over-used lines that anyone reading these blogs and recaps should appreciate...

Just for fun, not hatin'!!! Please add anything you've seen at least 1,000 times in these posts!!!

- We are closer today than ever! - I guess this stems from the belief that everyday you wake up brings you one day closer to the day you die!?!?
- The bank screens are flashing at 00.00
- Well, we didn't RV last night like I thought
- We're at an hour to hour watch for the RV
- It can pop at any moment now
- My oven is set to 440
- Nuff said - haven't this one in a while though...
- My contacts are with a 3 letter agency
- I have heard from my source but have been sworn to secrecy
- I don't do dates and rates, but tomorrow is looking strong!

please add to this list as I'm sure I have left off quite a bit! :bball:

This is a write in vote for a quote that I would like to see more often:

"his contacts are so high that they can actually tickle the feet of the angels".

It just doesn't seem to be written too often.

Wait, wait, wait!

I know this isn't exactly what we are suppose to be writing down but I would like to clarify one of the most over used expressions:

"The Dinar should RV any second now".

In order to clarify the word "SECOND"

It can only happen on Tue/Wed/Thur!

It can only happen on the 1st or 15th!

So if it can only happen on the 1st or 15th that is a Tue/Wed/Thur then the next window is Feb 2012! So I guess we should all take a month off and come back then hey?!

Someone must have knocked it down. Reminds me of a story.

A pastor goes into a youth Sundays school class to sit in and see what they are learning. Towards the end of the class he asks the teacher, "Can I ask these young men a question?" "Sure", says the teacher.

The pastor asks, "Who knocked down the Jerico walls?"

The boys just sat there looking at each other. Finally one boy says, "We didn't do it pastor." The pastor then says, "Anyone?" Then they all say, "Really pastor, it wasn't any of us."

The pastor looks at the teacher and asks, "Are these boys serious?" The teacher replies, "Pastor, if they say they didn't do it, I believe them. They are all good boys and they would not lie."

The pastor. not believing his ears, just walked out of the room. He went to talk to the Sunday School Superintendent and told him what had just transpired in the Sunday School class.

The superintendent looked suprised and said, "Pastor, I know this teacher quite well and these boys. If the teacher believes them, I have to believe them too. What makes you think is was any of them?"

At the next chruch board meeting, the pastor told the chruch board what had transpired in the class, and the responses for the teacher and the superintendent. He said,"What are these chlidren being tought in their Sunday School classes?" One of the board members spoke up and said, "At least they are respected and believed by both the teacher and superintendent, so they must have values. What makes you think it was any of them?"

By now the pastor is very irritated. He says in a slightly angry tone, "I ask who knocked down the Jerico walls, and this is what I get for answers?"

Another board member, seeing that the pastor is getting upset, asks if he can make a motion. "I make a motion that we check out the cost of putting walls back up, and take the money out of the building funds."

With that, the pastor fainted.
