So contracts are expected to be paid on Monday, cool.

In what way is this related to the RV? Does anyone make a contract where the terms of payment are based on the actions of a Central bank?

It just doesn't make sense to me. If I sell you a product and you say you will pay me, why would you also add that you would pay me in a new currency? Why wouldn't you just pay me in the worth of the product which I sold you? What difference does the RV make, as the value of the service rendered should still be the same?

Maybe one day Tony Renfrow could address this?

I can shed some light to your comment. Iraq monitized their debt which means they are on the metal and comoditiy based ( gold standard) currancy now. What we are waiting for now is the US to follow suit. they will not deal in fiat money as it is worthless. that is the hold up.

This maybe going against some feathers, but, I believe with all the articles coming out in the last few days that the dinar will revalue at .86 and stay there for 2 years or until the CBI brings in most of the larger notes and then we should see an RI, close to Kuwait. AJ

I'll take .86, more would be nicer, but .86 is still a heck of a profit.

Good point on the contracts. They can pay them in USD. Thay can confirm all they want that they got paid. This is more examples of a script being followed so people will be motivated to buy dinar.

Who ever heard of a contract being prepared and signed in anticipation of an RV? They don't have to RV. They have $58 billion in USD in reserve.

Hmmm 86 cents sounds like a "sucker rate" to me. Looks like there are plenty of suckers around to lap it up. And that would fit right into their plans. I'm with AJ. First half million at .86 maybe, but then I'm waiting for the full meal deal.

Call me a sucker, I'll take the $.86, you can wait till someone blows up something and this starts all over.

By the BugsB they take USD for Oil on a daily basis.

This contracts in RVd money business makes no sense. Glad to see a few like and openminded members.

Agree. As Randy Koonce has said for many months, $3.41, maybe up to .25 cents higher. Puts it right in line with Kuwait and it's regionally competitive.

I think what is meant about the contracts is, contractors were paid is USD, now they say that they are being paid in IQD, if they are paid in IQD it would have to have a greater value. Ex: if a contract was for 1 Mil they were be paid 1 Mil USD but now ( if this is true) they would be paid in a revalued IQD. IMO

Thanks for this explanation. If this is so, wouldn't it be breaking news; if Iraq has started to honor contracts in DInar instead of dollars? Also, wouldn't the rate be released in that case.

Additionally, many of the intel gathers have claimed that the contractors they know are American, meaning the money is coming back home and will have to be digitally transferred into a dollar account. So wouldn't this mean banks would know the rate?

Sure makes since to me, AJ. Satisfies all of the "lopsters" by dropping the zeroes from the rate instead of the bills. Then again, I'm no Guru, so $11.00 would ok by me. affraid affraid affraid

Openmind: Personally, what I believe, IMO, is (if this is true) Iraq can pay contractors whatever rate they wish as this would still be considered "in country". As far as trading with the rest of the world, that would have to be through CBI/Forex (et al) Maybe, "in country" is at .86 but once it hits the world currency trade market, that is when we would see the comparison to Kuwait. Just my thoughts

As far as trading with the rest of the world, that would have to be through CBI/Forex (et al) Maybe, "in country" is at .86 but once it hits the world currency trade market, that is when we would see the comparison to Kuwait. Just my thoughts

This post was very imaginative. It doesn't work this way.

A contract is binding and has to be honored in VALUE. If you are owed $10, you are to be payed that much in any currency and any country, so long as it is accepted as $10. What do you mean the Iraqis can pay a contractor at whatever rate they wish? The 'rate' of their currency has to be the same for everyone. Also, many of these contractors are foreign based, are you saying that they can't transfer money home because the RV is only in country and they 'amount' of Dinar they have been given is very little? I would be in outrage if this was the case.

Also notice the name, CENTRAL BANK OF IRAQ. Its not just for us foreigners, its for anyone using the IQD. When Kuwait RI-ed their currency, it was all over the news and everyone knew about it before and after it happened. Kuwait RI-ed about a month after Saddam's forces retreated back into Iraq.

Many people visit these forums and posts like yours will make them fall into delusion even more. I would hope that you understand. Respectfully.

First of all if you would stop and consider the source of this info., of "contracts ready to be paid on Monday", I doubt this conversation would be going on long. It came from tony on bsp.. The frist 2 letters aren't "BS" for nothing......LOL

I completely beleive in Randy's belief on the rate. In his last call he sated this."the one thing that I know for sure is the rate. I know the rate is $3.41".

It's all pure speculative, until the world is shown what is what with Iraq and that includes the exchange rate, whether it is .86 or 7.47 or somewhere in between. We could sit here and speculate all day long and never come up with the right answer, what if it's 25 cents? AJ

As you know the info of 0.86c, is quite different than the rate being suggested by other good folks.

What articles are you referring to, in support of your comment?

Links, please....

That's just it. After talking with Randy and knowing "who, what and where" his source is, the rate of $3.41 is not speculation, or at least not in Randy's mind. That is the one thing that Randy says he does know.

So we wait and see..

Reply to Okie fan

I heard Iraq monitized their debt on CNBC News last week as well as read it on one of the forums. It was a short insert that was mentioned. I truly believe this is the real hold up because the U S and other country's and their banks have to be in line beore cashin or what we receive would be worthless when they do change to the gold/metals standard.

I have .25 cents, going once, going twice, sold to Sandwedge for .25 cents. I am perfectly fine with .25 cents. Bring it on AJ, and make it so..
