A very old mason book I ran into at powell street book store in portand oregon. I wanted to buy it at $400, when I went back, all the mason books were gone. i cannot for the life of me remember the name. I ran into the book about 8 years ago for $15 at a yard sell, as I was about to buy the guys sister wanted it and I lost out again. The book is about 4 inches thick. My other source is an actual 33 degree mason from Eugene Oregon.

The book size was much bigger than an 11 X 8 peice of paper, 4 inches thick, leather enlayed bound, Lettering outside was done in gold, lettering inside was done in, at least it seems to me italicized larger block lettering in red and black at the begining of each paragraph, with regular lettering following. Judging from the book it was most likely written in the John Locke days of the 1600's. The book at the yard sale belonged to the mans dad who was a mason. I asked him why he was not a mason, he said "I did not believe in their ways".

By the way, the Illuminati was at the top after the 89 degrees, with only 6 members, with lucifer at the top. After 33 they call themselves something else and it seems, about every 10 degrees after, the name would change. The Knights Malta and the Knights Templar were in there somewhere high up.

What you may have found, could have actually been a legitimate Illuminati text worth much more than what you were quoted. In like manner, as mentioned prior, it is reasonable that they would have honored and incorporated the lower degrees as the Scottish Rite does the Blue Lodge. That book would not have been an accurate representation of either the Blue Lodge or the Scottish Rite, it was something else.

As far as I know, the degrees 4°-32° can be obtained in a short weekend class. 33° is honorary and offered to individuals who have shown great industry in philanthropic endeavors. I believe that in certain circumstances one does not need to be of the 32° degree for entry, but don't quote me on that. It is highly unlikely that one need to pee on a picture of Jesus to become a 33°.

If there are any such rituals in the book in your posession, I would love to have a peek, as this is one of the areas of my study.
