RayRen: This time the graduation music was not for you: it was for me. I don’t think this is the last TNT call, and it definitely isn’t the RV TNT call. However, I told Tony that when it’s time, I’m selling TNT back to him, so he can close this out. So this graduation time is for me.
Good afternoon, TNT super-fantastic family! It’s Marvelous Monday, December 11, 2017, with yours truly RayRat98 here, one more time. Today’s information is small but impactful, at least to me. We had an exciting weekend of celebrations and other activities. Victory Week ends today, although Abadi has already left town, as it were. If I knew things were taken care of, I’d just leave town. It’s like that for me – next call there will be a whole new sheriff, so I’m doing my Pomp and Circumstance now.
What is left to be done? Liberation was announced, and Chapter 7, and the Budget, even though Parliament hasn’t voted on it. The only thing still to be announced is the official new rate of the Iraqi dinar. All the currencies we’re interested in have been greyed out on the bank screens, expecting rate changes. Some expected those changes to kick on Sunday evening… that’s in US banks.
Over there, the CBI is now in charge, so we anticipate a rate change after the speeches both there and here. This should be it! We don’t have public information of a rate change over there, yet; however…

Q: What can we do even if the rates are on the screen. I still can not find a bank to exchange at. You have to have an account to ask if the bank will exchange the dinar . What can we do?
A: All we can do is wait. I have 66 banks that will exchange dinar, I just don’t like the rate. When the rate changes, you will have access to those banks as well. If the banks in your area won’t exchange, go to the 66 banks, even if you have to travel to do so.
Q: This morning I saw [on] the CBI site a rate of 1.2 and on another CBI site 1184. Which site is correct? Is one the new rate, and the other the old?
A: I don’t know. We’ll have to investigate and see what’s going on.
Q1: Going thru my notes I found a few reminders of things we should do prior to exchanging: 1. Getting a separate mailbox for our banking/business needs. 2. Getting a disposable phone for same. 3. Getting a few business cards with our name, new postal address and new phone number. 4. Security for getting to and from exchange. i.e., renting a car, etc.
A: All those are fine. The mailbox, phone and biz cards are all things that can be done immediately after the exchange. I don’t see that you need the business cards unless you have a business in mind.
As for security and getting a car – I don’t see that as all that important, not if you are doing it the smart way. Don’t tell anyone you are going to exchange, walk out with a debit or credit card – what do you need extra security for, unless you’re walking out with thousands in cash?
Q1: There was a man a few days ago called him with some good news for the family he was going to pass it directly onto you according to what I understand from his call that day, can you share what the good news was with us?
A: Supposedly some exchanges took place in Mexico, but we haven’t had any confirmation. The rate was a dollar or so, and if so, that would have been great for leveraging.
Q2: I have heard some bank is offering over one dollar exchange for the IQ D in the United States, have you heard this and have you verified it?
A: Haven’t heard this.
Q3: If question number two is a positive answer, have any of our people been privileged to exchange at that rate that you know of?
A: No.
Q: The last I heard was that the Swift System is to take place on December 15th and Iraq has activated codes. Do you think a real rate would have to be at play by that time? Also, the UN Operational Rates come out the same day for all currencies worldwide. Interesting.
A: They have a real rate now, it’s just one that we don’t like. So far as I know, the SWIFT system is already working, and the CIPS system as well. And December 15 might be interesting to confirm any activity.
Q: Do you think that the NDA will have such ridiculous rules that no one in their right mind will accept? I am worried that The PTB who did not want us to have this will do this on purpose. What can we do as a group if this is the case?
A: Some have already accepted the NDA, so I imagine it’s about the same; if it’s changed dramatically, that would be an unfair deal. So far as I know, the NDA will be simple. If you don’t like it, don’t sign it. If was all don’t like, I guess we could start a campaign…
Q: Would this have to be in the Gazette before public release?
A: I don’t think that matters, but we can see what happens on Wednesday.
Q: Do you know for sure that the rate changed in Iraq?? And would they have two sites up for the central bank that are accessed from the US and them?? Do you know what I mean?
[A: No, I don’t. I don’t know of two separate sites for the CBI.]
Do you think the embassy move is a sign of peace in the Middle East?
A: I have no opinion on that.

RayRen: No one expects any further public announcements of significant impact. What needs to be said has already been said on Saturday. It’s done, and now he’s handling other business. That’s what I’m being told, at any rate. Expectations have been met.
Caller: So is the ten-day PIF thing going to be super-fantastic or TNT super-fantastic?
RayRen: I think it should be fantabulouser, and Tony likes super-fantastic, but really it’s only for TNT members, so… I favor superfantastic-er.

RayRen: No, he did not say that. But just because we don’t know what’s going on, it doesn’t mean the Iraqis don’t know what’s going on. Apparently it doesn’t have to be on the CBI site for them to be enjoying a new rate, according to intel I’m receiving.
They’ve made all the international references they can make, and now Abadi is moving on to the next piece of business. To me, it all says “no more excuses”.
There is intel that I cannot share, but it indicates a few more hours or days, maybe by Wednesday.

The fight is over, everyone is happy, and the Kurds will get their fair share. Even the IMF says that the Kurds will get more that 12%, so Article 140 is a done deal. They don’t have to announce it publicly. We are not that concerned with politics in Iraq, Chapter 7, Article 140, or international announcements; all we want is for the rate to change, and going to the bank.
