Turkish planes dropped a Russian plane Sakhuy 24 and the world is entering an atmosphere of World War III

Hopefully this will all settle down in a few days but it could escalate out of control in a hurry if tempers flare.

What I would be concerned about would be Russia taking advantage of the current situation in the ME to greatly increase it's standing in the world and gain control of a large part of the world oil supply, they could escalate involvement and use such things as the jetliner bombing and this shoot-down event as an excuse to take major action. They could very well see this as an opportunity that might not present itself again, they actually have a legitimate excuse for military action (the jetliner bombing) and they have little fear of a confrontation with the West because our spineless idiot-in-chief will do nothing but run his mouth and they are well aware of that fact! NATO of course has binding defense agreements between member nations but without significant U.S. involvement they probably would do little more than some sabre rattling and passing of a few worthless sanctions.

Concerned? Heck, they are absolutely doing just that, and with the sanctions against their Iranian proxies being dropped they pretty much have a free hand to meddle as they wish. With Iraq caught in the middle between Putin's Syrian and Iranian buddies, this could get ugly.
