Vietnam's stock market ends down
Vietnam's stock market ends down
Vietnam's stock market index, VN- Index, closed at 410.73 points on Wednesday, down 2.36 points, or 0.57 percent, against the last trading day's closing session.
A total of 27.634 million shares worth 354.917 billion Vietnamese dong (VND) (17.02 million US dollars) changed hands at the southern Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange. Prices of 73 stocks went up, 144 stocks fell down, while 91 stocks remained unchanged.
VN30-Index, the new benchmark index for the southern bourse which has been applied since Feb. 6, 2012 and tracks the 30 leading stocks by both market capitalization and liquidity, closed at 485.42 points, down 1.53 points, or 0.31 percent. A total of 8. 391 million shares worth 154.208 billion VND (7.39 million US dollars) were traded.
HNX-Index, the index of Vietnam's Hanoi Stock Exchange, concluded at 68.08 points, down 1.13 points, or 1.63 percent.
