OMG!!! SO PERFECT KEVIN!!! I am so glad I homeschooled my kids and that they are now aged out of High School .. On to real life education !!

Your uninformed silly representations of the common core reflect the fact that you have not looked at the common core web site at all. You have listened to others that have not done their research or you have an example of curriculum someone has created and implemented. I teach high school and the common core is brilliant. Rather than poorly written state standards we now have standards that teach kids to think critically and provide evidence for their analysis and interpretation. God forbid somebody would learn to be critical thinker.

useyourbrain - I am retired teacher and I have looked at the common core website. I have read the pros and the cons of it. After my own research and being a critical thinker, I stand by the fact that I am relieved to have home-schooled my children. I am also glad that we did not subjected our children to common core and a good many other things that PUBLIC SCHOOLS are pushing on the school children today.
Unfortunately, many of the parents today are happy to send their kids to school and not monitor their children's education.

I am not a retired teacher. Can not afford to be one. Common core was obviously written by a group of people whom if they ever taught a day, did not teach average or below average students. I LIVE COMMON CORE every day! What is on paper and reality are very far apart. We went from no child left behind, which did not work, to even more children left behind. The system is BROKEN! If "they" would leave me and others alone and let us do what we know how to do, the system would be much better than it is now.
