THE KNOTS PRAYER

Instead
of focusing on the knots and "nots" in your life - I ask you and
challenge you to starve those for a while and practice giving energy
to the great "I am's" and the wonderful forgotten "have's" in your
life --

Take care now -- be safe - be well -- be prepared -- be happy and most of all -- be kind --

Thank you for what you have brought to my life and how you have
touched it – be it the kind words of appreciation & support or
for stirring an awakening or a challenge that moves me to learn –
grow & strengthen

Dear God,

Please untie the knots that are in my mind, my heart and my life.

Remove the have nots, the can nots and the do nots that I have in my mind.

Erase the will nots, may nots, and might nots that find a home in my heart.

Release me from the could nots, would nots and should nots that obstruct my life.

And most of all, dear God… I ask that you remove from my mind, my heart and my life…

all of the am nots that I have allowed to hold me back, especially the thought that I am not good enough.

This beautiful poem was first sent by a pastor to his congregation. No
one is quite sure who the original author was, no one having claimed
to be the writer. Was it this pastor? He does not say.
