Very interesting. I'm looking at investing.com/currencies/usd-iqd
Yesterday it appears they tested one decimal..... 118.00
Today it appears they are testing two decimals....... currently showing 11.80
Tomorrow they test three decimals????? 1.80??????
Then launch on Friday??????
Isn't there someone around here that likes things in threes??? All IMO

At that rate it is almost 85 thou per million. Very nice ROI, but of course, hoping for more.

Hedge fund cuts dollar valuation: 'Currency-rate relationship'

Mubasher: Cut hedge fund to US dollar neutral, where he sees that increased hedging costs, and the collapse of the relationship between the currency and interest rates, pressure on the US currency.
"The interest rate is the main driver of currency movements," said James Bennett, chairman of State Street Global Advisors, in comments to Bloomberg over the weekend. "But this relationship seems to have collapsed disappointingly this year."
The Fed is due to announce interest rates later in the day amid expectations of an increase.
He added that the relationship between the dollar and the Japanese yen is a classic example of that relationship, while the dollar fell against the yen by 5.6% since the beginning of this year.
The fund's president, who manages $ 2.8 trillion in assets, predicted that the green card would rise against the yen as markets turned to focus on interest rate differentials.
Beni added that the interrelationship between the interest rate and the currency markets did not work this year as a result of the possible replacement of the investment portfolio, as investors seem to be looking to raise low weight positions in countries outside the US by reducing exposure to US assets. link

The central bank said foreign reserves grew 7 percent in 2017, confirming that these reserves are spread across eight countries.
The bank said in a statement that Alsumaria News reported that "the annual reports showed the growth of foreign reserves in 2017 by 7% compared to 2016," noting that "investment portfolios in US dollars also grew by 38% as a result of investment in the dollar currency bonds and treasury bills And deposits.
"The investment portfolio in gold also witnessed a positive growth of 15 per cent in 2017, which caused its 2017 equal value compared to 2016, and the bank's investment in sukuk Islamic bonds grew by 50 per cent," the bank said.
"The reserve department takes into account the importance of the geographic distribution of investments," he said. "These reserves are distributed among eight countries, the United States, Switzerland, France and Britain."
On December 26, 2017, Iraqi central bank governor Ali al-Alak announced that the bank's foreign exchange reserves were $ 48 billion. link
