The committee said in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that it "is surprised by the appeal submitted by the government in some paragraphs of the budget that will deprive the oil-producing provinces of their petrodollar allocations, after the Finance Committee added a paragraph in the budget that guarantees the rights of these provinces."
She added, as surprised by "the government's rejection of the parliament's decision to increase the purchase prices of wheat, barley and rye crops from farmers, as the Finance Committee included this paragraph in the budget in support of farmers and the advancement of the agricultural sector."
On the 15th of last Nissam, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi announced the government's intention to challenge some provisions of the financial budget for 2021, "because the amendments made to them by Parliament affect the health, electricity and other sectors."
On the 20th of last Nissam, the Council of Ministers authorized Al-Kazemi to file an appeal with the Federal Court regarding some items of the budget,
Planning Minister Khaled Negm said that the appeal will also affect the article related to regional development projects, stressing the need for a separation of powers in the country.
It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives approved the beginning of last February, the country's financial budget for the current year, with a total expenditure value of 129 trillion dinars, and a deficit of 28 trillion.
The estimated revenues from the export of crude oil were also calculated on the basis of an average price of $45 per barrel, and an export rate of 3.250 million barrels per day.
The budget was approved after months of disputes, as well as after Parliament reduced the value of expenditures provided by the government, which is 164 trillion dinars.
