A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Thamer Theban, confirmed, on Friday, that the continuing repercussions of raising the price of the dollar will make the Iraqi street inflamed, describing it as a floundering policy.
Theban said in a statement to / the information /, that "the confused central bank policy regarding raising the sale of the dollar, I consider it a crime against our people, especially those with limited income."
He added that "there are corruption mafias that were behind the policy of supporting raising the price of selling the dollar against the dinar."
Theban pointed out that "the policy of the Central Bank will make the Iraqi street fiery as a result of the continuing repercussions of the exchange rate hike."
A member of Parliament, Manar Abdul Muttalib, had warned earlier that 75% of Iraq’s projects are vulnerable to stoppage due to the continuing repercussions of raising the dollar’s price several months ago.
