On Thursday, the Ministry of Transport revealed its procedures for setting a new pricing for land and air transit, while indicating that there are efforts to set up a trade exchange point with neighboring countries to achieve customs imports.

The spokesman for the ministry, Hussein Al-Khafaji, said, "Work continues to set the new tariff for transit for land and air transport by the joint committee," according to the official news agency INA.

He added that "Iraq is seeking to establish a trade exchange point with neighboring countries in order to achieve customs imports for the state," pointing out that "the customs account for the tanker coming from abroad and loaded with a lot of materials and goods is done on the tanker as a whole, not the goods, and here it must be calculated on every material inside the tanker." To maximize financial revenues. "

Al-Khafaji confirmed, "The Minister of Transport has directed the directors of the two land transport companies and Iraqi airlines to quickly complete the project because of its economic and financial importance for Iraq."
