Iraq: We are coordinating to hold the tripartite summit with Egypt and Jordan in Baghdad after the Eid 1024

Mubasher: Fuad Hussein, the Iraqi foreign minister, revealed today, Thursday, that work is underway to hold the tripartite summit with Egypt and Jordan in Baghdad after Eid al-Fitr.

Fouad Hussein told the Iraqi News Agency "INA", that the tripartite summit scheduled to be held in Baghdad is still on the agenda, and that it was postponed due to circumstances in Egypt following the train accident, as well as due to political events in Jordan.

On March 26, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Iraqi Prime Minister, announced the postponement of the tripartite summit with Egypt and Jordan, due to the Sohag train accident in Egypt.

Hussein indicated that there was no specific visit by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to the American capital, Washington.

He stated, that the Iraqi cabinet’s decision to support the Lebanese army came in light of a message from the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff of the Lebanese Army to the Iraqi Minister of Defense, stressing that the cabinet approved what was proposed by the Iraqi Minister of Defense and that the support would be simple and symbolic.
