Member of the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region, Ahmed Deban, confirmed, on Tuesday, that the regional government has not yet received the amount of oil agreed upon and stipulated in the budget law.
Deban said in a statement to / information /, that "the regional government has not yet received the amount of oil agreed upon and stipulated in the budget law, and therefore there is a disavowal of the last agreement."
He added, "From the beginning, we knew that the regional government will not hand over a single barrel of oil, because it does not have control over this file that is managed by Turkish companies, and therefore the budget agreement will remain ink on paper."
Two days ago, the Iraqi newspaper Al-Waqi’a published the general budget law that Parliament voted last month, hoping for the Kurdistan region’s share.
