On Sunday, former MP Saad Al-Muttalabi criticized the government's endeavor to take into account the feelings of some segments in cooperation with the Finance Committee and neglecting important segments of the people.

Al-Muttalabi said, in a statement to the agency / information /, that "the Finance Committee neglected the poor of Iraq and its maintenance while it sought to compensate the major traders who were affected by the exchange rates of the dollar in an amount of more than 300 billion dinars."

He added, "The Finance Committee did not even entrust itself with imposing slight compensation for those affected by the crushed classes of the Iraqi people as a result of the government's ill-considered decision on raising the exchange rate."

He pointed out that "some of the supports that took place regarding raising the exchange rates and voting on them are unfortunate political endorsements, and the people have begun to know very well the course of things."
