The Iraqi Teachers Syndicate in Nineveh, on Sunday, submitted a request to the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, not to approve the draft budget because it did not include the entitlements of the free lecturers.

The head of the Nineveh Teachers Syndicate, Raad al-Jubouri, said in a press conference, "The decision of the financial grant in the budget for the lecturers and not converting them into ministerial contracts is a clear prejudice to the right of this sacrificial segment that supported the educational staff in the course of the educational process for previous years."

Al-Jubouri called on the President of the Republic to "not approve the budget law unless the financial grant clause is amended and the clause is included to convert them into ministerial contracts."

This is the second request to the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, not to approve the budget, as the governor of Muthanna Ahmed Judeh Al-Exiled submitted yesterday a request because it did not include the lecturers' dues.
