Al-Maaloumeh / Baghdad ..
Member of the Parliamentary Economic and Investment Committee, Layal Al-Bayati, warned, on Sunday, of what she described as a sudden "poor revolution" due to the high prices.
Al-Bayati said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah, that "the poor turn out to be poor because of the high prices of foodstuffs," indicating that "the continuation of looting and corruption with the increase in unemployment, poverty rates and lack of job opportunities will lead to a sudden, earth-shattering revolution against which no one can stand."
She pointed out that "the citizen no longer speaks in his councils except how to face difficult living in light of the collapse of the Iraqi dinar against the dollar and the rise of inflammatory foodstuffs in the local markets."
The economic expert Ihssan Al-Kinani explained in a previous statement that the citizen's purchasing power will decrease significantly compared to last year, which will increase the poverty rate to more than 40 percent, in light of the absence of government measures. Ended / 25 h
