A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Jamal Cougar, affirmed that "there are many problems in the budget that cannot be easily solved," noting that the meeting of the House of Representatives tomorrow, Saturday, on the 2021 budget bill will not pass easily.

Cougar added in statements that "several items were included in the bill without the approval of the Finance Committee, and that some Shiite parties do not vote on it."

He pointed out that "some parties" do not want to pass the budget because they do not want to hold elections, so they see many excuses for it, such as the excuse of the Kurdistan Region, the value of the dinar against the dollar, and the excuse of the lack of justice between the provincial departments, all of this to prevent the budget from being passed.

The fate of the vote on the 2021 Budget Law remains unclear, nearly three months after it was sent to Parliament.

The Iraqi government sent the 2021 budget bill to Parliament on 12-28-2020, and some articles and articles were amended by Parliament, but due to the parties ’differences, they were unable to vote on it in the parliamentary session.
