{Economic: Al Furat News} The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed parliamentary demands to raise the price of a barrel of oil in the draft federal budget bill for 2021.

"There are claims from some representatives for the purpose of changing the price of a barrel of oil included in the budget from $ 45 to $ 70, which is the current price for a barrel of oil," said Majida Al-Tamimi, a member of the committee.

Al-Tamimi preferred that "be one of the conservatives and that she is always planning on pessimism and not optimism, because with one news, oil prices are falling, and therefore what is the work, especially since Iraq does not have other major revenues."

And she affirmed, "The Finance Committee continues to discuss the price change," indicating that she "is not among the representatives who want change, as is the current oil market, which has reached $ 70 a barrel."

She added, "We await the committee's discussions and votes that take place within it, and see what can happen in the coming days," indicating that there are discussions that will take place before Monday "when the budget is presented in the council" in order to conduct a final review according to the circumstances and changes that occur.

It is scheduled to present the draft fiscal budget bill for 2021 at the parliament session next Monday to a vote after submitting a parliamentary request from 150 deputies.
