Baghdad / NINA / The Ministry of Finance / General Tax Authority / announced the achievement of tax revenue of 3 trillion and 800 billion dinars for the year 2020, an increase of 23% compared to the volume of revenues during the year 2019, which amounted to 3 trillion and one hundred billion dinars.

The authority confirmed in a statement by the Ministry of Finance that the Iraqi National News Agency / NINA / received a copy of it: that its collection of these sums came despite the challenges of the Corona pandemic and its repercussions from the complete closure and the impact of commercial movement, markets, contracting contracts, etc.

The statement added: The Authority’s efforts are continuing to increase the percentage of revenues achieved within its plans for the current year, which come in line with the adoption of the financial and economic reform paper aimed at maximizing the non-oil revenue side. As well as improving the level of tax services provided and developing the work of the tax system through the application of automation in the scope of tax and customs transactions. / End 8
