Baghdad / NINA / President of the Republic, Barham Salih, affirmed: "The targeting of Erbil, which caused casualties, constitutes a dangerous escalation and a criminal terrorist act targeting national efforts to protect the country's security and the safety of citizens."

Saleh said in a tweet on Twitter: "We have no choice but to firmly strengthen our efforts to root out the forces of terror and the attempts to plunge the country into chaos."

He added, "It is the battle of the state and sovereignty against terrorism and outlaws."
