The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed, on Saturday, that the meetings are continuing to study the provisions of the 2021 draft budget, as the committee has completed 40 articles out of 57, at a time when the Parliament devotes a session today, Saturday, to hear the remarks of the representatives and the blocs on the budget.

Committee member Jamal Cougar said in a press interview, "The Finance Committee arrived in its reading of the budget clauses for Article 40; it had 17 articles left, but it did not decide on it and it only held discussions about it."

He added, "The committee has not decided its issue yet regarding the budget, and there is sufficient time to finish it before the legislative recess, and if it needs another time, the legislative chapter will be extended." And the authorities to look at the expenses and what can be reduced. "

Cougar continued, "The committee started its meetings with simple ministries, such as labor, social affairs and justice, that is, those that do not need huge budgets, as well as meeting with the Presidency of the Republic, the Supreme Judicial Council and the Federal Court."

On the sums allocated for detergents for the prime minister and parliament, Cougar stated that "the government has allocated an amount of 3 billion dinars, or 2 million dollars, as detergents for the whole government, not for the presidency, and this amount is for a whole year and not the large amount, however it is subject to reduction."
