The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, confirmed that the electronic document management program (e-governance) is one of the important projects that the Iraqi government has placed among its priorities in the government program and will contribute to simplifying government procedures in the circulation of documents as well as reducing time and gradually eliminating the process of corruption and extortion.

He added, during his presidency of the meeting of the Supreme Committee for the Management of Governmental Activity towards e-governance, that the Information Technology Department of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers prepared a special program to train and develop the skills of the employees working on the program in the ministries and agencies not associated with the Ministry and the governorates, and to provide all available capabilities for the success of the project.

During the session, the Information Technology Department presented a detailed presentation of the work of the program and the mechanisms of dealing with electronic circulation of documents, in addition to opening the door for discussions and inquiries about the work of the program from representatives of the official authorities and the possibility of adding amendments to the work of each institution to ensure the continuity of electronic activity.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Farhad Nemat Allah Hussein and representatives of the Supreme Judicial Council and the ministries of health, finance, planning and justice.
